I started training with Chas 7 months ago. The advantages and benefits I experienced are numerous, not the least of which is weight loss of about 10 lbs. Chas works with a remarkable integrity. He is dedicated to my development, tailors the workout to meet my needs and challenges my body in ways I can handle. What is most remarkable is the safety with which the workouts are designed. Despite being worked to exhaustion, I have not yet had a single incidence of worrisome pain anywhere in my body. While I used to be dealing with crippling pain following prior training regimen, I have not yet had a day where the pain I experienced impaired me in any way. Moreover, I have gotten remarkably and measurably stronger. I feel that I get a cardiovascularly very challenging workout that tricks my body into becoming stronger without having to suffer aches and pains. I have developed endurance over time and I have more of a stamina than I have ever had. I have never felt as good as I do now. My metabolism has increased significantly and I feel more toned than ever. The changes in my body exceed what I ever imagined my body to be capable of undergoing. This works!

Dear Chas,

I had to write and say thanks so much for the sets of exercises and the training you gave me before I left here for Haiti. My job ended up completely different than planned! Instead of working in a Cholera hospital, Medecins Sans Fronters sent me to a tiny sea side village called Le Borgne on the other side of the island to Port au Prince.

The earthquake did not touch this place but the cholera hit hard, and with it being so isolated we are a small team who have set up 2 cholera hospitals and mobilized a force of volunteers from villages in the mountains to provide; filtered water to people, a place for people to wash their hands and to give rehydration salts to those affected with cholera, to keep them going on the trip down the mountains (carried by family) to one of the cholera hospitals.

So I have the amazing job of meeting with the volunteers once a week and finding out what follow up is needed and then spending the rest of the week hiking up to remote areas that have no road access. It is an amazing privilege to see how these people are supporting their own community with the result that the cholera is now almost over.

If it wasn’t for the training you gave me I would not be able to do this job!!. Last Friday I had to do 1 ½ hours of mountain climbers to get up the side of a mountain and then continue hiking for 6 hours. The rocks were covered in wet slippery mud (the Haitians climbed up effortlessly!!!). Then yesterday I had to cross a river in 9 different places and at times the speed of the water gave the resistance like the lateral band walks you made me do under all my protests! So the workouts you planned for me have become WAY MORE than just keeping me in shape while I am away from home. They have made it possible to do my job, to get to places and meet people and provide materials that allow small communities to prevent the cholera returning or support those who contract it so they can make it to hospital and LIVE.

Thanks Chas and PBP fitness, it means a lot to me to have the chance to give back in this life and now, also to have the physical fitness to be able to do so.

I came to PBP to improve my core strength. Well, what I didn’t realize was that core strength includes everything. Chas pushes me in every direction, especially the ones I’m  weaker in. He keeps me on my toes, always finding the right mix of challenges to help me develop in all areas. Not only is my core getting stronger by the week, but I’m making more progress and having more fun than ever before. My workouts are planned in advance, and always too hard. I’m definitely getting the results I had hoped for and more.

I've been a client of PBP for the last year. My goals when joining PBP were to improve my overall body strength, and flexibility. I work full time, and also run my own business nights and weekends. At PBP my workouts are pre-planned, and working 1 on 1 with Chas, my personal trainer makes efficient use of my limited spare time PBP targets muscle groups from all different angles. "Hi Chas - I just wanted to thank you again for helping me get ready for my recent bodybuilding competition. With just 5 weeks to go you were able to address the issues, help me analyze the needs and appreciate the problems. The main aim was to help me maintain muscle volume while at the same time burning body fat and dealing with the associated energy loss caused by carbohydrate deprivation. We were able to accomplish that despite significant weight loss. You were also able to point out where I could use some muscle enhancement and we were able to make some progress there as well (I actually had some lat development at the end) Another goal was to help me keep focused especially during training sessions and to optimize the workout and not waste time. Rather than dreading the sessions, I enjoyed them immensely and especially enjoyed being taken out of my workout rut using alternative methods to exercise the same muscle groups. With all of this you remained pleasant and firm without being threatening of intimidating. And one more thing that I appreciated was that you remained sensitive to the fact that I am old and while taking that into consideration during the training sessions, you were never condescending or patronizing.
